Randomizer Tool - Unreal Engine

$0+

A transform randomizer tool for Unreal Engine 5.4.1.

This tool is more suited for level and environment art, as it excels at creating subtle variations to duplicated meshes and breaks the "artificial" feel of an environment when all the assets are perfectly snapped to the grid.

IMPORTANT

Mystery Block - Super Mario Odyssey 3D model NOT INCLUDED, it was used for Demo purposes only. You can get it for free here: Mystery Block - Super Mario Odyssey - Download Free 3D model by Islide (@Islide) [8203a53] (sketchfab.com)

Getting Started:

  1. Run the widget by right clicking on the "EUW_TransformRandomizer" asset in the Asset Browser and click the first option "Run Editor Utility Widget"
  2. You can migrate the Widget to other Unreal files, make sure the 2 Enum files are selected as well or the widget won't work.

Features:

  1. Select your actors, then choose between Translate, Rotate or Scale and any of the 3 axis to apply your random transforms, multiple transforms can be randomised at once
  2. It is recommended to Store any transforms you would like to keep as "Default" using the Store button to easily undo any unwanted changes with the Restore button
  3. Using Randomize repeatedly is considered "Destructive" as the randomness will continuously add on itself
  4. Using New Seed is "Non-Destructive" as it does not take into consideration the changes done by the last Randomize
  5. Use the slider to multiply the strength of the changes and tweak their intensity
